Non ‘O-A’. If you are over 50 and have 800k baht equivalent in the bank.

  • Multiple entry. Exit/re-enter as often as you want for 1 year.
  • Visa valid for 1 year.
  • Each entry granted a 1 year permit to stay.
  • Enter just before the end of the year for a new 1 year permit to stay. Exit/entry still possible with a re-entry permit. Single 1,000 baht, Multiple 3,800 baht.
  • At the end of year 2 apply for a 1 year extension of stay based on being married.

Non ‘O’ based on marriage or children.
Multiple entry

  • Visa valid for 1 year.
  • Each entry granted a 90 day permit to stay.
  • A 60 day extension of stay to visit your family is available, once, for any of the 90 day entries. 1,900 baht.
  • With an entry just before the end of the year and a 60 day extension of stay this visa gives nearly 17 months possible.
  • At the end of the visas life you can apply for a 1 year extension of stay based on marriage or apply for a new visa.

Single entry.

  • Valid for 3 months.
  • One entry granted a 90 day permit to stay.
  • Within the last 30 days of the 90 you can apply for a 1 year extension of stay based on marriage. 400k in a This bank for 2 months or a certified income of 40k pm.
  • During the 1 year you can exit/re-enter with a entry permit.
  • The extension can be renewed each year thereafter.

Probably a multi entry "o" Visa based on marriage would suit.

Remember if the business is in Thailand and you intend to be actively involved a work permit is required.

If you go to a consulate in your country of origin, you can easily get a Non-O based on your marriage.

\

That's called a Multiple O visa based on marriage to a Thai citizen and might be around $150 US, or 130 Euros. Non-O Multiple entry)

Then you'll have to leave the KOT ( Kingdom of Thailand) every 90 days, do a border hop ( buy some cheap fags and whiskey for me, please)\\\

Do not go to a Thai embassy, it's much more complicated there.

Best of luck, please Google it, there're thousands of threads just from this so honorable website.

And once you made it to an expat, (s) expat, or god only knows what, please don't forget that horses at Soi Cowboy don't necessarily need to get saddled.

The guys at Nana on their bar stools can't wait to meet you. Jindee Dhonn Lhab.- thumbsup.gif

P.S. If you decide to go to a Thai consulate, you're dealing with citizens of your country. You'll need the original marriage certificate and no problems at all.

If you are actually moving to Thailand you can get a single entry Non O visa from your own country.

That will give you a 3 month stay - after, say, a month you can visit your local immigration office and apply for an extension of stay for 12 months based on marriage or retirement (1,900 Baht).

Up to you, you choose and then peruse this forum for downloading an applicant form and details of the procedures you need to follow. Bear in mind that you cannot work on a retirement visa.

Seasoning the appropriate money (880k Baht or 400k Baht) for 2 months is the first thing to attend to. If you have verifiable income (40k p.m. or 65k p.m.) you can get an embassy letter to satisfy financial requirements (2,395 Baht or GBP 47 by UK credit card). - I am not aware of your nationality so I give this as an example.

A multiple re-entry permit (3,800 Baht) will cover your home visits.

. A Multiple entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai citizen will give him a full one year visa from a Thai consulate.

These guys are usually very relaxed and some of them might only ask you how much income you've got.

I can always go to the Thai Consulate in Stuttgart/Germany and always get a full one year visa.( Leaving Thailand for only one minute every 90 days is enough)

Even without financial proof.

P.S. If the OP is planning to move to Thailand, he'll have enough time to check things out. 400 K on his bank account for three months will open him the door for his next visa from a Thai Immigration where he's living.

Even if the OP can't show 400 K on a Thai bank account, he could apply for a Non-O in Sawannakhet/ Laos without any financial proof.

The money only has to be in the bank for 2 months for an extension based upon marriage. Proof of 40k baht income is also an option.
