Social Media
Is there a particular area or street where shops selling Material/Fabric are to be found ? I noticed that in Thailand shops of a particular type tend to group together in an area. Is this the case or are they dotted around ? Needing to get wholesale type quantities not just a few yards of this or that. Any help, comment or guidance appreciated. Thanks.
flare
Wararot Market (upstairs) and the surrounding area have many shops selling all different kinds of material and fabric.
luther
If you were walking over the bridge and heading up Thapae Road, the first right would take you along the river into the flower market. The second right would take you past four or five large fabric shops.

ramrod711
There is also a large fabric outlet in Bor Sang, in the same lot as the original umbrella factory.

jobin
From the big Chinese gate walk towards the river. Go to the next corner, 75 meters. On that corner is a large fabric shop with an old Indian chap in charge who speaks good english. His materials are not the highest priced, more like a discount house, but i'm sure he can direct you, if he cannot provide.
namatjira
There is also one of the last pure silk traders at Chinatown, years earlier there were about 20 shops, alas, the craft is slowly disappearing.....people will still buy it, it's just not being produced in that old traditional way anymore....probably be a sound investment

uptheos
Wororot Market inside and outside. I'm sure you will find the material you need and cut a deal. Indian shops are plenty and they like to deal.
