Suspects in large car thief gang nabbed

BANGKOK, 10 March 2016 (NNT) - Six suspects of a car burglary ring have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police Bureau. Most of the stolen vehicles were sent to the neighboring countries.

The suspects were arrested with the evidence including a pickup truck and four cars they had used when stealing. According to the police, this car burglary ring is the third largest in the country.

Complaints of lost cars filed with the Udomsuk Police Station led to an urgent investigation into the case and the arrest of the six suspects in Chon Buri province.

The suspects told investigators that they stole cars since 2009. Most of the stolen vehicles were pickup trucks later sold to the neighboring countries.

Acting commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau Pol.Lt.Gen.Sanit Mahathaworn said the suspects had stolen vehicles for six times in areas under the responsibility of the Udomsuk, Lat Krabang, Khu Khot and Bang Yai police stations. Police officers were searching for other suspects in the case, said the acting commander.

They are too late. That one has already been stolen.

I can only name 1 neighbouring country where they also drive at the wrong side of the road and where they have the steering wheel also on the wrong right side ...
Most of the time it is the other way around and the vehicles stolen in that country turn up in Thailand...

BTW. Were they stealing large cars or was it a large thief gang as 6 were arrested?
