gk10002000
I am just wondering if the USA laws regarding notarizing things limits or prohibits a USA notary from notarizing things outside of the USA? I am not suggesting any sort of business, just wondering about the fine print in the USA notary process.
thaihome
Notaries are authorized by states, not federal government (except US Consulate and some military officers) and are forbidden to do notary services outside the authorizing jurisdiction. They cannot do notary services outside their state, much less outside the US. So the answer is no. TH Edited March 14, 2016 by thaihome

Catmandhu
Yup, Consular Services at the US Embassy can notarize documents, though you have to pay (an unreasonably expensive fee)
cat handler
YES you can, however if it's for something Thai related it won't be recognised.
