Shot
It’s driving me nuts. I visit this site>>> http://mynorthwest.com/ several times a day, but many, many times I get the “Can’t connect” screen. This is the only site this happens with. Steps I take to connect after getting “Can’t connect’ screen: Clear internet history Turn off and unplug router (a few seconds to several minutes) Run Ccleaner Restart computer Sometimes one of the above works, sometimes not. A combination of the above works….sometimes, sometimes not. Eventually, and after several combinations and sometimes singing and tap dancing, I can connect. Why is this happening, and what can I do to fix the problem? I should mention, this has been an ongoing problem for a year. I’m just finally at my wits with it and am now asking why? longball53098
I just tried it from here in Rayong , cannot connect. Then I switched on Zenmate VPN to the US servers and the site connected immediately. Sound like they may be blocking ISPs from Thailand.
ripstanley
I just tried here in Phayao. No VPN and no problems connecting. I am using Chrome to search.
Phantom4
Most probably a corrupt file in your tired web browser, use a different web browser like Google chrome, firefox, IE, and then uninstall and reinstall your main web browser.

KhunBENQ
How do you connect to the internet? What provider? What region? Did you do any specific changes to the network setup like changing DNS servers? No problem with other websites? (currently on AIS mobile and no immediate problem)

Shot, if you are connecting (or at least trying to connect) through a 'favorite' link it may be the link is corrupt. Try deleting the link, type into the url box the address and try to connect to the site. If you are successful, right-click and save again to Favorites. Would also delete all cookies and temp. internet files/folders. You could also try to ping the site from CMD and see what the response time is. Guest
I had similar issues with one site (using chrome), which too a while to debug. The problem was simple. For some reason, my browser decided to use ssl (https) when accessing the site. The site did not use ssl, which resulted as an error.
KhunBENQ
You could also try to ping the site from CMD and see what the response time is. I tried this, but it seems the site does not allow a ping. Address that I get is 64.147.131.69 If you look up the name you see a provider with a fairly wide range of addresses: mynorthwest.com (64.147.131.69) 64.147.128.0 - 64.147.159.255 Deseret Digital Media, Inc. DESERETDIGITALMEDIA (NET-64-147-128-0-1) 64.147.128.0 - 64.147.159.255 To the OP: use some snakeoil and try Google DNS. I don't swear for ToT DNS servers. https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using#configure_your_network_settings_to_use_google_public_dns
KhunBENQ
Good news for me! ToT fibre repaired. Guess it was another truck load of sugar cane Bad news for the OP: currently the site opens without problems and DNS servers set to automatic (ToT servers). No snakeoil involved. Will try repeatedly. Same thoughts........................ Another option to try is to try Chrome with browsec installed, in case it is an issue, but others seem to be able to connect without the need of VPN? KhunBENQ
Bad news or good news? I have the problem right now after being able to open the website in the afternoon. Also ToT. Bad news: I tried misc methods to fix (Google DNS server, flushdns. entry in "hosts" ...). Tried Chome to no avail. Using my VPN and it opens without problem. It's NOT a DNS problem. The address is resolved correctly but the connection times out. Some routing problem at ToT? It's not quite new to me. Fortunately my problem (a German banking site) vanished sometime. Looks like you have no other choice to read this website than the the proposed Chrome with "browsec" (which I don't know) or Firefox with ZenMate (free version). As the site is mainly news text and pictures this should work without noticeable performance problem.

Lannig
Works for me at this time from France FWIW. Browser is Chrome. If it doesn't from Thailand, I'd suspect some inter-ISP routing issue more than blacklisting.

I am on TOT Fiber 2U 20MB/2MB Win 10 and Chrome all up to date. No other access issues I know of. My torrent downloads work as good as can be expected. I am streaming Fox News on iLikeHD as I write this. Just tried the site again this morning and it times out as before on both Chrome and Edge
KhunBENQ
Again timeout this morning (ToT fibre). Switch on ZenMate (HongKong) and it loads in an instant. It is very likely a ToT specific fault and not blacklisting. Blacklisting should result in the "official" MICT site displaying the fact that the site is blocked: Edited March 23, 2016 by KhunBENQ
