Internet connection problem with (not so) Smart tv

Featured Replies

I receive 3BB internet via fibre optic cable and can connect to WIFI all over and around the house, with the exception of my new Samsung smart tv. It was a problem right from the off, but connected eventually, but now , no matter how many times I retry it wont connect. Bizarrely the tv connects immediately to my neighbour's internet, which is d/ling at 10mbps, compared to my 35 mbps.

Any ideas anyone? Is my d/l speed too fast? Or would a direct cable connection be better? I'd be grateful for any help.

DNS Server error

Probably you already fixed the issue but this may help other ppl with the same issue. Go to Menu-network- network settings, tv will show that is connected to the router but not the internet, select IP settings and only change the DNS Server numbers from auto to manual and change the numbers to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
That usually does the trick, good luck.

Has it got a camera on it?

If so, put a sticker over it. These things can be hacked you know.
