retirement visa money verification

Featured Replies

I am currently on a Non-immigrant B. I do not have a work permit as I am a buyer of thai goods only. I would like to apply for a retirement visa next February. I do not have 800,000 but can pay 70,000 per month into my thai bank account starting this month and can continue on in this way. However, my money does not come from my home country. How can I verify that I am able to pay the 70,000 per month into my account. Thankyou.

The money can come from anywhere outside Thailand.

You will need the income certified by your Embassy.

  • If you are using the income method you need the income to be certified by your Embassy. That process differs by Embassy.

Showing 70K going in to your Thai account won't be accepted.

Does a non 'B' visa allow you to work as a buyer?

And would I be correct in inferring from your reference to a "retirement visa" that come next February you will be applying for a single-entry non-immigrant O visa on the grounds of being aged 50 or over at either the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, PDR Laos or the Royal Thai Consulate in Penang, Malaysia?

Yes I am going to apply for a multiple entry non-immigrant O visa on the grounds of being aged 50 or over at a thai embassy outside of Thailand.
