Retirement extension at CW yesterday

Recommended Posts

Very routine just like my previous five. Arrived at 0840 was given number L 24. Sat down in the L section they were working on L 7 at that time. About an hour later I was called.

Presented to the IO the following:

Signed TM7 with photo attached.

Income affidavit from the US Embassy

Signed photo copies of passport

signed photo copy of TM6 departure card.

Nothing else was provided or asked for.

The IO had me fill out and sign three forms which basically I only provided name and address.

Out the door and on the way home at 1000 am.

I moved to a new address on 1 Feb 16 and was never asked about this but I did submit a self reported TM30 and TM28 to them on 1 feb16.

This has to be the easiest way to stay in Thailand.

OP interested in that you did not have to provide some sort of proof of where you live. Is this only required for first extension?

CW does not normally ask for proof of residence after the first extension based upon retirement as long as the address on the TM7 form matches their records.

The OP had already formally done a change of address so he did not need to do again when he applied for his extension.
