darhut
Where can I find calcite to put in a filter housing to raise the water PH level? I used copper water pipe in the house 8 years ago and did not realise how acidic the bore water was. I constantly have blue green stain in my shower and I'm thinking if I don't remedy the problem soon I will be replacing all my copper piping. To make things worse the copper pipe I used was C grade as that was all I could find at the time, not long after I finished installing the pipe I found an air conditioning business with A grade copper, mmmm. If I can't find calcite stone is there a calcite cartridge available in Thailand? I am in Nakhon Phanom but am prepared to travel to get what I need. Any suggestions would be great. sappersrest
If you have a water tank you could add some soda ash, and test the ph with a pool test kit. once you have got it right you will be ok a bit hit and miss to start with, but once you get the quantities right you are in business
darhut
No tank, straight from bore to house. That's why I'm thinking if I run it through calcite in a big filter housing it will up the PH. Might not be totally neutral but will help.
