All the Blood pressure medications
This is not an allergy. Leg/foot swelling is known side effect of cslcium channel blockers (amlidopine and thd other ***pines). It is not a side effect of ACE blockers like lisinopril and enalapril. You do not need to get enalapril and atenolol at a hospital. Available and very cheap at any pharmacy. -

Hitler’s AI Translated Speeches Go Viral on TikTok in Troubling Trend
This is what you posted in another thread, about Alex Jones: ”Alex Jones did not kill anyone or call for anyone to be killed....all he did/does is voice his opinions...despite despots as per yourself calling for the removal of his (everyones) free speech...not realizing that once his free speech is removed yours will be too...” So what happened to free speech? Or does that only apply to right wing loonies like Alex Jones? -

Ellen DeGeneres, a shameless return to standup that's unfunny
Not my take, but I respect your viewpoint. I think she mostly did 'give a toss'--but not every waking minute of every day of the 19 years of her show. So, cancel her. Also not buying Markle being a horrible tyrant, either. I think both are victims of some 'underlings', frankly, not really knowing their place in the workplace hierarchy--and seizing on, and likely blowing up, a few instances of perhaps poor behavior to 'get at' the boss. I do wonder if reprimanding an employee is now considered poor behavior by a boss, who is not being 'kind' and 'loving'. Maybe only if they are female and named Markle. Or, a certain magazine editor wearing Prada. We're seeing the same thing with Harris--some stories of staff turnover. She must be the dreaded 'difficult to work with'. Can't have that, at least not in a woman. Note: If an 'underling is reduced to tears', likely they are the wrong person for a demanding, high-pressure job and should look for something more suitable to their delicate temperament. Perhaps teaching flower arranging. These days, with social media so pervasive, a few negative stories, true or not, can easily leave a false, unfair impression. I think that is mostly the case with both women, with some envy and jealousy thrown in for good measure. I re-read some of the Ellen workplace stories and found myself thinking, what's the big deal. Pretty thin, watery gruel to feast on considering 19 years of workplace behavior involving hundreds of workers to dissect and find fault with. The sole possibly serious charge I noticed involved alleged sexual harassment or other questionable behavior by three male producers, who were fired. People are human, they aren't perfect. If a celebrity chooses to use their public position to try to both promote and to try to be kind, compassionate, etc., I don't think it's hypocrisy if they aren't always successful in practicing what they preach. And, it is certainly not hypocrisy, in my book, to believe and promote love, joy, etc., as important things to strive for in general, but also be focused, in the workplace as a boss running a business, on other important things--like keeping the business afloat. Ellen did that for 19 years, keeping her show at or near the top of the ratings, not an easy thing by any means. And, at the same time, keeping her workers employed, including, it seems, some rather resentful, ungrateful ones. -

What did your parents die of?
Father died at age of 81 from multiple issues - had had a minor stroke, had pulmonary failure and maybe vascular dementia. But outlived his 2 brothers. Spent most of last 2 years sitting in his chair, sleeping. Mother died mainly of old age - spent over 12 years in a nursing home, had dementia and lots of minor issues, just slowly lost the battle, age 93. Still have one Aunt left, about 90, severe vascular dementia. No one in my generation died yet (13 of us, between 80 and 60). -

Hitler’s AI Translated Speeches Go Viral on TikTok in Troubling Trend
Probably because in one of his speeches in 1940 Hitler made a peace offer to Britain to end the war in Western Europe. If that comes out it could hurt the established narrative. -

Can you use a walkie Talkie bought on lazada in thailand
I used to work on a big property too, and we had the same issue finding each other across the fields. Phones just didn’t cut it out there. We ended up grabbing a motorolla radio, which were pretty reliable and didn’t break the bank. They worked great even when we were off the beaten path.As for buying them from Lazada or Shopee Thailand, that should be fine as long as you’re aware of any local regulations. I don’t think you’ll run into any major issues with your plan. Look for ones with good range and battery life; you don’t need anything too fancy. -

We should study history. Why don't they want us to know what Hitler said? -

We can't say we weren't warned
Ah … I observe that, not all, but most comments on ASEAN NOW, that I click a “laugh” response is laughing “at them” rather than “with them”. I will be honest if asked but I hope those caring can discern the difference on the basis of my past comments and my public profile. -

Hitler’s AI Translated Speeches Go Viral on TikTok in Troubling Trend
So people warning against Trump because they see him as a threat to democracy (have you read ‘project 2025’?) or just as a vile human being (he’s a convicted felon, among other things) is rhetoric now? Since when is telling the truth rhetoric? Trump and Vance, on the other hand, push all kind of crazy conspiracy theories, like Haitians eating cats and dogs, and all immigrants coming into the US being rapists and murderers. Now that is hateful rhetoric. -

Help on "Retirement Visa"
Suggest that you have your UK pension paid into your UK bank When your rent income + pension is 65k then do a WISE transfer on very similar date every month. Thinking for you that will be latter part of the month. -

UK frozen pension returning to UK and going overseas again at a later date!
My personal experience is very different from what I have read at the start of this thread. I had been Thai resident for many years and my UK State Pension was frozen as of the date I left the UK in 2004. In 2018 I returned to the UK, purchased a flat and set about making myself UK resident once again. It took about three months and required support of my MP and also a letter to the Secretary of State, Amber Rudd. My intention at the time was to spend 6 months in the UK and 6 months in Thailand but to be UK resident for all purposes. After 3 months I received a letter from DWP confirming that I was once again UK resident and that my UK State Pension would be permanently uprated, the letter is copied below but is redacted to protect personal information. After a further two months I left the UK and returned to Thailand, the colder weather was starting to wear me down. The following year I returned to the flat and spent two months there with my wife on holiday, before we returned to Thailand. We were ticketed to return in the Spring of 2020 but Covid intervened and our flight was cancelled.....we have not returned since and the flat has remained tenanted, Per the letter below: I am very comfortable that my permanent and settled lifestyle is that I travel frequently and spend time in different countries but always return to live on the UK, often after a period of many years away. I am also very comfortable that the next time I return to the UK I will once again claim settled UK residency and my pension will be permanently uprated. The letter follows: I am responding to the email dated 1 April 2019 to which included the Rt. Hon Amber Rudd MP about your UK residency status. I should explain that due to the Secretary of State’s wide ranging responsibilities, it is not always possible for her to respond to every letter personally. In this instance I have been asked to reply. I was sorry to read of your concerns and on receipt of your email I arrange for your UK residency status to be investigated. I can confirm the International Group (IG) does not undertake Statutory Residence Tests (SRT). However, they did write to you on 20 December 2018 asking some questions about your residential status in the UK and abroad, this was to establish whether you are a habitually resident in the UK. As you have spent a significant time abroad we needed to establish whether you are now habitually resident in the UK. I understand that you returned to the UK on 1 July 2018, then left for an extended stay in Thailand on 6 November 2018 . As this was approximately 4 months after returning to the UK and because State Pension (SP) rates can be frozen, depending on the country of residence, IG required information to establish whether your stay in Thailand was temporary and to confirm that your country of residence is the UK. **Redact** IG has accepted that you are habitually resident in the UK from 28 June 2018. Your SP is paid up to 27 March 2019 at £xx per week, Increasing to £xx per week from 11 April 2019. It may help if I explain that your country of habitual residence is not decided on the number of days spent in a particular country. IG considered your individual circumstances, taking into account a number of factors such as: whether you retains a residence and continues to have financial commitments in the UK, when he goes abroad is your intention to return to the UK did purchase a return ticket do you own property abroad and have financial commitments in that country There are other factors which IG will consider when making a habitual residence decision and each decision is based on that customer’s circumstances. I have asked IG to write to you to confirm they consider your country of residence to be the UK. In the meantime, should you have any further questions about this matter you can write to, Complaints Resolution Manager, The Pension Service 4, Mail Handling Site A, Wolverhampton. WV98 1AG or by telephoning 0191 613 8158. Once again thank you for your enquiry, I hope I have clarified the current position. Yours sincerely Complaints and Correspondence Manager -

Harris holds 7-point lead over Trump in national survey
That's not what I said. I clearly mentioned that the size of the sample is relevant. I then said the problem was concentrating on one demographic. I don't know what you are trying to achieve here. Maybe you are just lonely. Go adopt a street dog and get a life.
