NAM SOM (น้ำส้ม)

Featured Replies

Can anyone possibly confirm whether NAM SOM means just 'orange juice', or could also mean 'any citrus juice'?

Thank you for your help.

http://www.thai-language.com/dict says it's orange juice, citrus juice, vinegar...

I sure you will get a more learned reply but I believe it refers to orange(som) drinks in general. Nam som soda, juice, cordial etc. I think Nam Menow for lemon although still citrus.

Yes can be a couple of things according to my app.

Dear Seligne2, andrew55 and stoneyboy,

Thank you all for that information. I guess I will include both descriptions (orange juice and citrus juices). Also, I had forgotten about it meaning 'vinegar' also. Thanks for reminding me. I did have it in my list, but separate from the above.

Thanks for all your help.
