Ranong visa run.

Featured Replies

Is this still an option when doing a 90 day reporting for a non imm O visa.

Thanks.

I don't see why not as it is a bona fide Immigration office.

If you have a multiple entry Non Imm O visa, 90-day reports are not required. However, you must leave the country every 90 days (or possible get a 60-day extension to visit wife or child). You can do this border hop at Ranong if you wish. If you have a one-year extension of stay, 90-day reports are usually your simplest option. They can now usually be done online and, if not, at most offices by mail. However, if you have a reentry permit, and choose to exit and reenter the country before 90 days is up, then 90-day reporting is not needed.

If you have a multiple entry visa you can do a border hop at any border to get a new 90 day permit to stay.

If you have a 1 year extension of stay you must do your 90 day report at the immigration office that covers the area you live in. OR you can do a border hop (with a re-entry permit) which will reset the 90 day report count back to day 1 on re-entry.

Thanks for the help. Done today after a 12 hour round trip. Last exit stamp, so gonna get a year extension based marriage, no more 90 day visa runs. Ta.
