All on 4 dentures

Featured Replies

As the Smile dentist by the Temple on South Pattaya Road is sadly closed and I thought an "all on 4" overdenture would suit my needs I tried the half a dozen other dentists that have popped up along the road. Each quoted me a price of 300,000 baht per jaw for the work. So that's 600,000 for one mouth on only four implants on each jaw. I didn't dare ask the price for six implants and porcelain teeth over cheap acrylic. On top of that price x-rays etc were an extra charge. TIT

I do not know where your home country is but I am sure dental costs are much cheaper there !

Bet that price took the smile off your face.

Go to Sri Racha Phyathai and ask an expert.

Most dental clinics in Pattaya are a waste of time.

I paid 40kB each for mine.

I think that four unit dentures are held on the jaw by what is called mini-implants. To get an idea of what is available, Google "implants in Orange County, CA." The explanations on various dentists' site are very instructive. You'll learn a lot about the types of implants available and the variety of materials from various manufacturers that can be used. Armed wth this knowledge, you should be able to seek out what you want and where you want to have it done. Good luck!

The new state of the art is 4+4, top and bottom..

I went with (loose) dentures..

We make 'em in Hawaii for $1000+

I hate implants..careful not to break them..my boss says no French bread or pizza..use a knife. Pulling on bread rolls makes him a lot of $$.

Aloha

He's our new resident expert on all matters.

I had a full mouth extraction and two larger implant pegs to hold a removable bottom denture with top denture being held only by suction. The original quote in a Bangkok hospital was 500,000 baht but for that four mini implant pegs were going to be at the top as well as the two larger ones at bottom. The dentist also had a private clinic and offered a 50% reduction to do the work there which I accepted. In the end, though, as stated the top implants were not done and the final cost was 250,000 baht. It took 4 months for the whole process which included a temporary plate for the top.
