3 more in Vientiane, then 2 more in Penang, then maybe another two in Cambodia, then Bali, etc.

Should your passport get full change it and reset.

Definitely OK for a couple of SETVs in Laos. It is not so definite that you would be OK in Phnom Penh. There have been reports that they look at total SETVs and not just ones issued there. I would guess they would issue you an SETV because you only have two outside your home country.

And how does that work??

Do you really think that in the modern world that computers don't keep track of everyone?

Didn't you notice that the little facial recognition camera that the passport control guy at Swampy or Don M asked you too at look at was real?

Sure, change your passport.....nobody will notice.

In a country where Monks have smart phones.... the only dumb ones are foreigners.

When deciding whether to issue visas, the consensus is that consulates do not seem to consult the computers, but only look at the history of visas in your current passport. Some go so far as to say they cannot check back, which I think is incorrect. At the very least, with a fresh passport, your chance of getting visas from strict consulates is improved. Immigration officials on entry to Thailand, however, do have a complete record of your entries on their computer, and your old and new passports will usually be linked in their system.
