Well said... Although the criticism was levied at the driver who'd 'placed' his wife in the boot / trunk to make-way for the passengers... Its nothing more than rather amusing, thats all it is. This is still much much safer for all invovlved than sitting on the back of a motorycycle or in a tuktuk !... In fact - I'm a strong advocate for road safety and wearing of seatbelts at all times... However, there have been times were we have placed our children (2 of them) in the hatch back area of the car (usually a 5 seater) when travelling a few kms down the road (on Koh Chang etc) where traffic isn't fast and I consider such actions a bit of harmless fun.... (Hit a main road, highway or expressway - and no one is in the car without a seatbelt). This is definitely a case of 'shoe-horning' faux-outrage out of something all rather harmless.... -

Thailand Visa Exemption (60 days) and Visa On Arrival (VOA) (15 days)
Yes I thought about taking the VE entry lottery risk on another trip to Thailand at the end of June,, but I think with the number visa excepts stamps I have in my passport , I might give it a miss, just have that feeling ,that it might not go very smooth I have 3 VE last year and 3 the year before, also a few in previous years, none so far this year, this trip will be my first for this year with about a 6 month gap , of course I have had no warnings so far, buT on my last entry in November last year, I had the feeling that if I had not been 81 and in a wheel chair, I think the situation may have been very different , the lady IO was very abrupt in her tone wtth me. So i am thinking of trying to apply for a single entry online e Visa tourist Visa , as with my very old age of 81 years , I am not that good with doing this sought thing online, is it that hard to do, i rang a Thai travel agent here in Perth today and he seemed to think I would nave no problem Visa Excempt, but when I disagreed with him ,, he said why not , my reply was the experience I have had and lots on line having problems,, his reply was take no notice of all that, he also said they will be changing back to 30 days soon , they are all That"s there, matbe just gossip.
