BANGKOK: -- JAS Mobile Broadband bid 75.7 billion baht during the 900-megahertz spectrum auction and recently defaulted on installment payments. The company has been warned that it will be held liable for any damage caused by the company’s default.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) announced that a new auction will be held on May 27 for the 900MHz license. The reserve price for the license is set at JAS’s winning bid of 75.7 billion baht. Experts on the NBTC’s advisory panel will determine JAS’s compensation liability on April 28.

The exact amount of compensation that the company will need to pay is dependent on the second auction.

Experts and NBTC.. Those don't go together!

So the NBTC expect someone to repeat JAS' s overblown price?

Tell them they are dreaming!
