British man can't get into toilet

4-News-8.jpg

Batters bar girl in retaliation Police rushed to the Foxy bar in soi eight after the owner complained that a farang customer had struck one of her staff with a plastic table before crashing a bottle of beer on her head. Officers discovered that British tourist Gavin Mann, around 40, had been drinking steadily at the bar and was then overcome by the call of nature.

Arriving unsteadily at the men's relief room, he found the door locked because Miss Pim Keangkan, aged 26 and a serving lady, was inside feeling sick and nursing her tummy. In vain, did Mr Mann batter on the door and demand that she vacate for a more urgent case.

It was only later that Miss Pim emerged back into the public domain where an inebriated Mr Mann took hold of a plastic table and then a beer bottle which he used with most unpleasant results. She was taken to hospital with lacerations and bruises, whilst the Britisher was escorted to the police lock-up.

He was due in court on October 27, still maintaining that he had no recollection of his foul deed brought on by booze.

With regards to the recent proposal, by the goverment, of raising the minimum age to buy alcolhol to 25.

Prehaps there should be a reduction in the maximum age to buy alcolhol to 35 (in Patt alone that is).

3 months in the Hilton, Deported and blacklisted, hopefully . :D

Added in for just a bit of poetic justice, he shouldn't be allowed to use the toilet for his 3 months of incarceration ... he's only allowed to urinate on himself.

It's surprising, but you do see them everywhere . . . and where do they get the finances to go on long vacations far from home (the dold certainly doesn't do it).

I can only echo taxexile's question . . . what is it about Brits . . . (apologies as thi sis definitely generalising)

maybe this article from the bbc news website sheds some light on the subject , although this article deals with teenagers , it hardly bodes well for the future , when todays teenagers reach adulthood.

UK youths 'among worst in Europe'

British youngsters have a reputation for heavy drinking

Britain's teenagers are among the most badly behaved in Europe, a study by a think-tank has suggested.

On every indicator of bad behaviour - drugs, drink, violence, promiscuity - the UK was at or near the top, said the Institute for Public Policy Research.

The institute looked at the results of a number of studies of adolescents conducted in recent years.

The researchers believe the country's record can be explained by a collapse in family and community life in the UK.

although the neanderthal in the article is said to be around 40 , one has to assume that his mental age is considerably less.

Measured against German, French and Italian youngsters, British 15-year-olds are drunk more often and involved in more fights, and a higher proportion have had sex.

The institute says young Britons are marked out by how they spend their free time.

They are not learning how to behave - how to get on in life - as they need to

In England, 45% of 15-year-old boys spend most evenings out with their friends, and in Scotland the figure is 59%.

In France just 17% of boys spend their time in the same way.

On the other hand, European teenagers tend to sit down for meals with their parents far more often.

Some 93% of Italian teenagers eat regularly with their families; in the UK just 64% of 15-year-olds do the same.

Nick Pearce, from IPPR, said these figures pointed to an "increasing disconnect" between children and adults.

He said youngsters were learning how to behave from one another instead of from adults.

"Because they don't have that structured interaction with adults, it damages their life chances," he said.

"They are not learning how to behave - how to get on in life - as they need to."

The researchers concluded that the lack of adult interaction has left British teenagers increasingly vulnerable to failure.

Brand awareness

One study looked at by the IPPR suggested 38% of British 15-year-olds in 2003 had tried cannabis - compared with 7% in Sweden and 27% in Germany.

Another said that in 2003 British 15-year-olds were the third worst binge-drinkers in Europe - only Denmark and Ireland were worse.

Britons are also more immersed in consumerism than American youngsters, the research claimed.

This was indicated by their brand awareness and the amount of importance they attached to consumer goods and possessions.

The IPPR's report is due to be published next week.

although the neanderthal lowrent in the article claims to be about 40 , one should assume that his mental age is considerably lower.

It is hardly surprising that the Brit Bashers have leapt on the bandwagon, but are they so naïve as to believe that scum such as this despicable dullard are peculiar to the UK?

Unfortunately, all nations have 'ambassadors' that their countrymen wish had been drowned at birth.

In this case, I really do hope they use him as an example and let him rot in jail for a few months as a minimum.

It is chilling to consider that this boil on the arse of humanity may breed, or already has... :o

Your typical English lager lout usually takes his annual holidays in Spanish resorts like Ibiza and Benidorm etc ... and this is where the bottles usually get broken ... for Spanish police in these resorts, this behaviour would be the norm in the summertime !

Globalization has a lot to answer for !

probably not peculiar to the uk , but i think the uk provides the majority of those who are quick to resort to aggression and violence for little or no reason.

americans usually get nabbed for more "sophisticated" criminal activities like not paying their bills , passport fraud or credit card scamming , the germans are stupid with drugs and crimes of fashion , and the french for crimes against personal hygiene , but the brits , god bless' em , do like a scrap. :o

unfortunately not , jail is reserved for motoring offenders and pensioners who dont pay their council taxes.

violent criminals are usually given community service and cash incentives not to offend again.

Umm, why are you calling me a Brit-Basher jumping on a band-wagon? Where does anyone say that it is singularly the Brits that have trash like this? Or is this your defense when confronted with something you feel tarnishes your image?

Lighten up, or are generalistaions only permitted for some?

Look at Aussies in Bali, Germans in Pattaya and the rest . . . what we're saying is that there just seem to be so many of them in large groups all over . . . There just seem to be more of them than any other group.

Amen to all of the above. Though one would think/hope that being pi$$ed all the time would lower their chances of breeding.

Ehhh NO !!!

Read the web blog of PC Copperfield, and you will learn all you need to know about how the UK manipulates it's abismal crime statistics. LOS granted is bad, but what you see is what you get. This thug sadly is the norm for the UK, maybe even a bit soft, he only slugged her once with each weapon after all....hardly trying by his mates standards.

One of the main reasons I stopped frequenting the places mentioned for holidays (and a few more besides) was I was tired of being pigeon-holed with the likes of this individual (calling him a man would be far too loose a description)

That's how I ended up here..... to get away from louts like him.

I am still proud to be English.... but it's getting harder.

Why are there so many English lads like this fella?

Over the years I've met some top fellas from the UK but the tattood,chip-on-the-shoulder,lower class pissed idiot seems to be dominating their population home and abroad nowadays.

There has to be a reason for the uprise of this type of characteristic.

Could it be from the result of more broken families, hence less disciplined kids growing into adult <deleted>?

If so, why is the family unit breaking down in Britain.

too true

there have been a few posts trying to work out why the english act so bad,

to me it is a simple matter of discipline in the school and home

children learn very quickly, and they know from an early age that they can act as they like without too much in the way of discipline being meeted out up to the age of 16.

parents can be brought before the justice system for smacking

teachers can not touch a child no matter what the child has done.

after the age of 16 people are then exposed to discipline from the courts and other members of the public, however by then the trend is hard to break.

pc back firing on it's self

imho

What is a crime against personal hygiene? Is this like not washing your hands after using the toilet?
