BANGKOK: -- Police have charged four young men in the horrific attack that left a seventeen year old dead after being stoned and stabbed by a huge mob.

Relatives took 16 young people into police headquarters at Bang Pakong. But there are expected to be up to 100 involved after trouble in Bang Saen continued up the highway on Sunday night after a Wai Lai celebration at the seaside resort, Daily News reports.

Many souped up pick-ups of the "Bai Kluay" Club blocked the local road and access to the expressway. A youth called Chertsak, 17, was left dead by the side of the road after being stoned and stabbed to death by a huge mob. The dead youth suffered from asthma and had been unable to flee the mob.

The attack occurred at kilometer marker 49 near a woodyard. Members of the Bai Kluay Club are well known for racing on the Bang Na- Trat highway in their pick-ups. Trouble had spilled over from Bang Saen after they clashed with another group.

Four men admitted their involvement to Bang Pakong police yesterday. Two were named as Worapon Thongsut, 20, and Somchai Huangphet,22. Two other unnamed nineteen year olds were also charged with killing the teenager.

Kiatsak Satthongoi of Bang Pakong police said Tuesday that a massive police operation had been mounted and that further leads were being followed to bring all the perpetrators to justice.

Good on the relatives. Hope these scumbags rot in jail.

Suspect that these scumbags have money and are of the same ilk as the mercedes killer Jenphob. So they will buy their way out of it and then continue to block public roads to race again.

Of course if this boy had not been murdered it would be business as usual with the police ignoring the racers. Total disgrace.

Enforce the death penalty for ANY people convicted of this sort of crime

It will make more room in prison for more low lifes who are not fit to be in society

Ahhhh only another 96 to go BIB. But I see there is a Somchai in there, good old Somchai again thumbsup.gif

So, who collects the fee for allowing the racing? Any guesses.... so who else is at fault here?

...humanity....???

..civilization...???

Surely there must have been a reason for such an intense attack ? No-one gets this sort of treatment just by virtue of having been there !

Not unlike a piranha feeding frenzy...once Thais smell blood...their inhumanity to their fellow Thais kicks in...bad news for victims...

I never hear about government concern for the mental health of their citizens...

Four men admitted their involvement to Bang Pakong police yesterday....

But tomorrow they will retract that.

Collected four of the cowards, only 96 to go. Pack mentality and not man enough to take one on one.

I guess he asked them to stop blocking the road . . .

I guess he asked them to stop blocking the road . . .

That would be "please" stop blocking the road

Somchai suffers violent rage.

quite a lot. :(

The "Lord of the Flies", mentality of a youth mob. 4 down, 96 to go. sad.png
