No political gathering reported ahead of referendum

BANGKOK, 20 April 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Interior has instructed provincial authorities to monitor any political movements ahead of the referendum on a draft charter.

Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda said no political gatherings have been reported so far. The Election Commission has been preparing to hold the referendum on August 7th.

Thai people will learn more about the draft charter via a public campaign by the Constitution Drafting Commission. The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) will also be responsible for ensuring a peaceful referendum.

Gen Anupong insisted no government officials will try to sway the vote. Regarding scams perpetrated by those claiming to represent the NCPO, the Interior Minister encouraged victims to come forward and file complaints with their local Damrongtham Center.

No government officials will try to sway the vote, yet they are the only ones allowed to speak about the contents...

The wise wont show their hand and maybe not even on referendum day, the wise will sit, plan and wait, then what comes around go's around ,and be careful for what you wish for, as it may come back to haunt the military. .........................................coffee1.gif .
