As far as I am aware, they are SOLELY a feature at the One Stop immigration office at Chamchuri Square in Bangkok.

There is a report (thread) about use in Phuket and a contrary news report that it will not be used blink.png

First report about these forms are from April 11.

Pattaya/Jomtien probably the 2nd most frequented office in the country.

Many TV members there, misc. journos, expat clubs etc. on the watch.

No reports yet.

What's your conclusion?

If the form surfaces there be prepared for another sh..storm.

I would hazard a guess and say that they may have had a look at them and decided they wouldn't be able to cope with the slow down they would create trying to implement them. As it is it's often standing room only in there.

Let's hope this is the case and things stay as they are.

Yep, it's the primary reason why I read this forum - hoping nothing has changed since last time. Sometimes it changes for awhile and then changes back again LOL

However, there were two new forms to sign, one about overstay laws and one about renters, didnt read them , just signed .( Im affluent, dont rent)

IF the "inventor" of the so called new form would have thought just a little bit further, the first question on the form would be: Do you have a medical insurance?

If "yes", please mention name of insurance-company and policy-number.

If "no", please take care of a proper insurance or book a flight homewards :)

Good idea, let's have another nanny state exactly like the one we chose to leave.

There was a report a couple of weeks ago about a new form issued in one specific geographic area only and that it requested lots of personal data, the feedback I have from a very reliable source is that the form was designed to capture marketing data by a private form and that a senior immigration person thought he might assist in that process - apparently the form had a short life once Bangkok found out about it.

Don't think it's that one. This is something that the immigration officer just thrusts at you and gets you to sign while doing your 90day report. No details to fill in.

Then if not that one I don't know, I just extended my retirement visa last Friday and no new forms were presented.

I renewed my retirement extension yesterday in Loei and the new forms had to be filled in, no problem as far as I am concerned.

Could anyone tell me if Pattaya Immigration has started using those personal data forms ? rolleyes.gif

Why? If you aint got two cents and are happy to die in agony like a dog mangled on the side of the road, its your decision.

It does help to read posts before posting, you are confusing two different lots of forms.
