Final 90 Day Stay On Multiples Still Being Granted?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 1 year multiple non immigrant type o visa issued in the Uk that is due to expire on 14th Dec but would like to stay in Thailand for another 3 months before flying back to the Uk. I read the following info on the Uk's Royal Thai Consulate website...

"It is worth bearing in mind that with a MULTIPLE entry visa, if you were to exit and re-enter Thailand a few days before expire of your visa you would be granted a final 90-day stay even though the visa will expire a few days later. Furthermore it may be possible to obtain a final 30 days extension."

Obviously if that's from the Thai consulate it should be correct but after reading about the recent visa shakeups I was wondering if the above final 90 day stays are still being granted without any issues. My current 90 day stamp expires on 29 Nov so I'll be visiting a friend near Surin and then crossing at the Cambodian border for that. 2 weeks later before my visa expires I was hoping I could return to the Cambodian border and get the above final 90 day stay upon re entry. Is this still feasible or should I start thinking about Penang and getting a single entry 90 day tourist visa?

Thanks

Paul

You can use the last entry, but latest on the day the visa expires, and you will get 90 days. No problems.

That's great!

Thanks George!

Correction: You must enter latest on the day BEFORE the visa expires.
