Death investigation at Apple headquarters in Cupertino

CUPERTINO: -- Deputies in California are carrying out a death investigation at Apple’s Cupertino campus after an employee was found dead inside a conference room. The death is believed to be a suicide though authorities have yet to confirm that.

The incident began at 8:35 a.m. PT on Wednesday when deputies were dispatched to Apple’s campus for a call of a “person down” inside the building, according to Sgt. Andrea Urena, who is a spokeswoman for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

“When they responded to the campus they found one individual – male – down [and]determined that he was deceased,” Sgt. Urena said. “Upon further investigation they determined that there were no other individuals involved, and they believe it’s an isolated incident.”
