USA should incarcerate US citizens moreso than immigrants.... because: Texas is the only U.S. state that systematically records and logs the immigration status of individuals at the time of arrest and subsequent conviction. Longitudinal studies of this data by institutions like the Cato Institute indicate that from 2013 through 2022, illegal immigrants in Texas had an average homicide conviction rate of 2.2 per 100,000, compared to 3.0 per 100,000 for native-born Americans.
