My Tourist Visa 60 days ends on 12 May 2016.

Would it be ok if i go down to the Immigration at Chaeng Wattana to extend it for another 30 days on 3 May 2016?

Yes you can extend it for another 30 days for a fee of 1900 baht.

Completed TM 7 form with photograph and photo copies of your entry stamp,departure card,passport photo page.

You can go to any immigration office in Thailand.

Some immigration offices require proof of where you are staying,hotel bill etc.

Usually, I believe they want you to apply for the extension during the final 7 days of your original permission to stay. May 6 would definitely be OK. Maybe, they would do it May 3 if they are not busy.

I have never encountered that problem,I have in the past extended my stay 2 weeks in advance on a 30 day visa exemption none the less.

Is May 6 open then? I read from here its a bridge holiday after coronation day. http://www.officeholidays.com/countries/thailand/

and on monday may 9 its royal ploughing day.

I guess the only day is available before 12 May is 10, 11 or 12 may then?

I guess i should call and enquire if they would allow me to go before.

I kinda want to do it earlier as I don't want to wait too near the day of my visa expiry

I am living in Abac Bangna. is there any immigration near here that i go to besides chaeng wattana?

Immigration will be closed on the 5th and 6th. You could apply today or tomorrow it you wanted to.

If you have an address in Samut Prakan province you can apply for the extension at the office there. If not Chaeng Wattana is your only choice.

I just called n Check today. The immigration office says to go with just passport n departure card.

Thats all. No need for proof of address. I will bring my rental bills n bank letters which r address to my condo just in case as I misplaced my rental agreement.

Will go down tomorrow. Yes I m in Abac Bangna which is Samut Prakan.

Will update my experience there tmr for future reference.
