Land Purchase

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

The wife has just purchased some land and it has a green stamp on the official document.

I was under the impression that this stamp meant green belt and couldn't be built on until you had it changed and registered with a red stamp.

Asking the guys in the area they said, ' Oh everybody builds here on a green stamp'. :o

So I told her to ask at the land office and got the same reaction,' It's alright to build here on a green stamp'.

I am not too worried about the purchase of the land, but any continuing development is a bit of a worry.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Moss

It might help to know where the land is.

In urban areas it seems to be necessary to get planning permission from the local Tessabahn or possible Amphur office.

In rural areas people seem to build where they want.

Thanks for the response and my lack of sufficient information, in my ignorance I just assumed that the law would be the same.

The land is in Rayong, very rural, about 20 minutes drive from Rayong City and very near the beach of Maeranpong? definately wrong spelling and 10 minutes from Ban Phe Market.

Very, very quiet.

Thanks again for the response.
