Christie's bet on Trump pays off

I don't think Christie's bet has paid off yet, the roulette wheel is still spinning. If the polls are correct (and they haven't missed since 1948) and this turns into an embarrassing landslide for Democrats, Christie is likely finished in the republican party.

The title of this thread is misleading. Who says it 'pays off' ? Currently Christie is lampooned massively for his dumb-fat-boy deer-in-the-headlights demeanor standing behind Trump's stump speeches. Christie has a deep hole to crawl out of. How is that 'paying off' ?

He needs to quit losing face, and start losing pounds off his torso.
