Multiple entry non B from London or elsewhere in UK?

Featured Replies

Dear TV,

I have a job offer in Phuket and will be receiving documents from the company to apply for a non B visa. They say I may be able to get a multiple entry non B in the UK, but I have heard maybe not and do not want to waste 125 UKP and time getting refused. I am living in London and wonder does anyone know if I can get a multiple non B from here and would I just require the usual supporting documents from the company looking to take me on>??

If not London, is there a postal service from another embassy/consulate in the UK??

Many thanks.

Non of the UK consulates will accept mailed visa applications.

You can try for a multiple entry visa at the London Thai embassy.

If you make application in person they will refuse the application if it does not meet requirements and there will be no cost.

Generally, the multiple-entry non-B is not not for travel to Thailand for the purpose of taking up employment in that country. It is for travelling to Thailand for business purposes on behalf of an employer outside Thailand.

Foreign employees of a Thai company are expected to apply for one-year extensions of stay after having first entered with a single-entry non-B visa. There are, however, cases where a foreigner does not qualify for a one-year extension of stay for the reason of employment, for example when the company is new and does not yet have financial reports for two years or when the foreigner's salary is lower than the minimum required for an extension of stay, and in such situations the multiple-entry non B visa is appropriate.
