BANGKOK — The longest heatwave in 65 years may soon break.

Things are set to cool down (slightly) next week when scattered thunderstorms and a southern breeze are expected to hit the capital starting Monday.

Good news here in Phrachuap, as in our village Orbator is saying no water after after next week.

HOWEVER he still cannot be bothered to fix a leak from a main pipe in a field next to our house which to my knowledge has been leaking for about 3 months Mrs Poohy has made repeated phone calls.

You cant miss it its spraying into the air!!

You simply couldn't make it up out here!

And they do say that Christmas will fall in December

Here in Phrae it's well over 40 and doesn't even look like being cloudy let alone "rain", we're just waiting for the sand dunes to get a little bigger so we can go camel racing!!

Not meaning to nitpick, but Bangkok is generally considered to be in the central region. South usually refers to the region south of Chumphon.
