The circling sharks known as the press tried to get a comment out of Wenger on Chelski's woes.

He refused point blank to comment.

One hopes Moronho can show similar respect in future instead of his constant girly whining about Wenger.

There are squad members that are plainly not good enough namely Oscar, who has been a big disappointment, Mikel and Costa, who might be the guvnor to some but isn't good enough to lace Drogba's boots and some that have found that this season is a 'bridge too far' namely Terry, Fabregas and Ivanovic. Some are in a crisis of confidence but, firing on all cylinders, they are right up there with the best. Courtois, Hazard, Willian, Azpilicueta are vital to the future of the club and should be kept. There's half a 'spine', now all we need is a strong willed centre back and a proper centre forward who works hard and has an eye for goal, not someone who is in constant danger of being red carded.

So what lies ahead? Well, if I was Mourinho, I would make a statement, with Abramovich's blessing of course, to say that the club have virtually written off this season and are now in a process of consolidation and rebuilding with the Champions League as a sideshow to see how far we can go. That would remove the intensity around the club and, with that, it just might remove the shackles so that the team can play with a bit of freedom and focus. This sort of approach wouldn't be new to Mourinho as his "big horse, little horse" comparison a few seasons back can testify. After all, there have been bigger clubs than Chelsea that haven't come up to expectations for a season or two, Man. Utd. being one of the most recent.

You're asking a lot of both Mourinho and Abramovich OG. Nice ideas though.

It would have been interesting to see Chelsea this season after some different personnel moves in the off season. A class striker instead of done Falcao and a decent centre-back for starters. Chelsea's lack of initiative during the summer was a shocker for me. I'll be eager to read the straight dope on that down the road....as well as some poop on other strange personnel decisions, Cuadrado, de Bruyne, Schurrle come to mind. What were the thoughts about those players before and after they were bought ? The sale of Cech to Arsenal... of all clubs.

The sale of Cech to Arsenal... of all clubs.

Thank you very big!

He was most instrumental in weathering a first half storm yesterday, and worth at least one of the three points we earned, if not all of them.

Mourinho demands certain attributes from players he brings in JD and if they don't fit into his mould, his idea of how they should contribute to the team ethic, he quickly banishes them to the sidelines. It's all or nothing with him. Players either take it on board and improve as Hazard has done or they disappear into the distance e.g Salah, De Bruyne and Cuadrado. That's why he's better working with a small squad. Those are the players he selects to perform the tasks he entrusts to them but therein lies the problem this season. Those trusted lieutenants have failed him but he steadfastly refuses to acknowledge it.

Does this sound like anybody we know ?

Borderline personality disorder (BPD), also known as emotionally unstable personality disorder - impulsive or borderline type or emotional intensity disorder,[1][2] is a Cluster B personality disorder. The essential features include a pattern of impulsivity and instability of behaviors, interpersonal relationships, andself-image. The pattern is present by early adulthood and occurs across a variety of situations and contexts.[3]

Other symptoms usually include intense fears of abandonment, extreme anger, and irritability, the reason for which others have difficulty understanding.[3][4] People with BPD often engage in idealization and devaluation of others, alternating between high positive regard and great disappointment.[5]

Borderline personality disorder may be characterized by one or more of the following signs and symptoms:

  • Splitting (thinking in extremes)
  • Chaos in relationships
  • Markedly disturbed sense of identity
  • Intense or uncontrollable emotional outbursts
  • Unstable interpersonal relationships and self-esteem
  • Concerns about abandonment
  • Self-damaging behavior
  • Impulsivity
  • Frequently accompanied by depression, anxiety, anger, substance abuse or rage

The most distinguishing symptoms of BPD are marked sensitivity to rejection, negative criticism, and thoughts and fears of possible abandonment.[11] Overall, the features of BPD include unusually intense sensitivity in relationships with others, difficulty regulating emotions, and impulsivity. Other symptoms may include feeling unsure of one's personal identity, morals and values, having paranoid thoughts when feeling stressed, and severe dissociation.[11]

Well you said it...........our games are a lot more interesting..........everyone gained an extra hour last Sunday.............then any poor sod who watched the Manc Derby then lost an Hour an Half.

We were our own worst enemy at times yesterday............as per usual certain individuals cant play for 90 minutes and go walk-about.......passing at times from the back was hurried and suicidal.......giving the ball to some poor thuccker who is surrounded by 3 or 4 players seems to have become the norm ughhhhhhhhhhh. Zouma can,t fault his work rate or attitude....if managed properly he has a future...............unlike some.

Mo has got his work cut out to motivate and drive this squad forward....our next 5 games this month (bar spurs maybe) are all winnable......there is no way out for him if he cant turn this round.

I doubt that because he's a self obsessed, pig eyed prick that eye gouges and insults other managers, publicly humiliates his medical staff who were only trying to do their job, and rebukes his players in public whilst the whole time refusing to accept any personal failings.

He's clearly lost the dressing room and Chelsea, along with the premier league would be better off without him. Loaded in Spain, dislikes at best in Italy, hopefully his next port of call will be Russia.

And Willian or Hazard chasing upfield to charge down a clearance from the opposing goalkeeper which has NO chance of being successful. A lost cause. What's that all about? All it does take that particular player out of play and, in Willian's present form, a very important and influential player. Who tells them to do that? Plus the mind boggling substitution of Azpilicueta who is easily our best defender! I agree with you about Zouma, Keith. Loads of potential and a big future. Not forgetting Matic who is mentally beat up at the moment, but is top class.

Bloody hell, I could go on and on with the tactical mistakes Mourinho has made this season. What a pillock.

I watched the whole game again last night.......and really there was nothing in it imho. If Mo had stayed in his technical area for that added 2 minutes and berated the 4th official (a la red-nose) telling him time was up ...........we would have gone in 1 up, but no, he has got to thucch off down the tunnel sharpish to get.........what??? But heh it,s Clattenburg and he has always had a soft spot for us1zgarz5.gif . The 2 goals we conceded in the 2nd half, came from our own mistakes, players not doing there job or out of position. Sod the score on Wednesday.......drop Costa Mikel Terry play Matic Kennedy and Falcao . thumbsup.gif

When it rains it pours for the special one.

Eva Carneiro is taking legal action against him individually and against Chelsea FC.

The legal papers are expected to be served on Mourinho this week as part of separate,

but connected, claims against him and against the club.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34699394

Which makes me wonder what affect this has had on Eden Hazard and his relationship with Mourinho.

Could this incident have been the start of the alleged dressing room split?

They certainly weren't showing much love for each other when he was hauled off at the weekend.smile.png

This legal action has taken some time coming but it was inevitable. I doubt she ever lost the dressing room. From all accounts she was very professional and popular with the players. Her sidekick the physio has been conspicuos by his lack of comment.

Up to her if they settle out of court but I have a gut feeling its more about prinsiple than money, time will tell.

Reckon she wanted an apology and to be reinstated that's all, now the lawyers are involved it's become a money matter. Chelsea could easily averted this PR disaster.

All went pear shaped. Hell hath no fury etc etc

Thats the strange thing isn't it. Why did the club let things go this far? Surely it would have been better to wrap it up and let the focus stay on football.

I can't see Mourinho lasting the month and surely the search for a replacement is well underway. You don't make a captain out of a player that should be dropped, nor publicly knock players. A coach of such ability making schoolboy tactical errors. Ridiculous petulance at post match interviews. What on earth is his agenda? One thing is for sure. The highest pain manager in the league is selling the club and its supporters very short indeed.

I normally don't look forward to playing Chelsea but i'm slowly warming to the fixture as the weeks go by!!

Theres plenty of other candidates. Ronald Koeman being one.

Terry as caretaker manager would solve two problems in one stroke. :D

A bit frantic at times with plenty of effort, typical of a team low on confidence. I thought Matic was superb on the night. Peach of a free kick from Willian doesn't mask the lack of goals from open play. Another poor game from Costa.
