BANGKOK: -- Anybody who wants to know anything about the draft constitution, the referendum law, the referendum process and relevant rules and regulations can now download the information from a smart application unveiled today by the Election Commission.

Election commissioner in charge of elections Mr Somchai Srisutthiyakorn today (Monday) told a press conference about the launch of the smart application which can be downloaded free of charge through iOS or Android systems as of today.

The information is available in both written and inforgraphic forms. Anyone who reads through all the content will be given a certification of appreciation, said Mr Somchai, adding that the smart application is linked to another application which will inform voters at which polling units they are to cast their ballots on the referendum day.

The EC also demonstrated referendum voting by disabled voters who can notify polling officials of the kind of help they need to facilitate their voting.

looks like a step in the right direction, so long as it is not abused and no follow ups or messages from any persons that has a pecuniary interest takes place.........................coffee1.gif

I am not the brightest spark when navigating around websites.

To me this looked very complicated and I was not able to access the golden cup.

In this respect I imagine I am no different from the average upcountry thai person with limited computer savy. How many millions did it take to put up this wonderful site, that nobody can access? ?? Is it only a matter of time before advertising starts appearing on the site? ?? I am always suspicious of these "I did this to help people " and often wonder what is the true agenda behind the good deed? ?

Have these CDC/EC boys got shares in a flat cap company or something.....Looks like something old Somchai might have picked up on last years boondoggle to the highlands.

I suspect the main market is not folk like you or me, but the 'bright young things' under 25 who need to be surgically separated from their phones.

Good luck with that. Average IQ-60

Andy Capp is the latest fashion statement. Seems fitting in an odd sort of a way. In my opinion, This is a guy not to be taken seriously.
