May 20, 201610 yr Hi folks, How far in advance can a visa exempt entry be extended in Chiang Mai? A friend is arriving on a 30 day visa exempt and needs to extend it. Obviously, the further in advance the better as it will save us searching for immigration office across the country as we travel. Thank you kindly in advance.

My friend arrived yesterday, knowing he will stay beyond the 30 days, it would have been more convenient to extend the visa at the promenada as I know where it is etc etc. If he can extend anywhere (which I am sure he can) do you have a list of immigration offices in Thailand with addreses?

I wrote he can do it at Prommenada the airport office will not do them. The extension can be applied for at any immigration as long as he has a local address to put on the TM7 form. Some offices may also want proof of that address. Not a list but this map has addresses and locations. Address and Google Map location of immigration offices
