Nakhon Pathom villagers demand transparency in new motorway project

NAKHON PATHOM, 22 May 2016 (NNT) - Villagers from Nakhon Pathom province are demanding that the government investigate the construction of the Bang Yai - Kanchanaburi Motorway, claiming they were never informed of the nature of the project and its implications on the community.

One killed when trains hits pickup at Surin crossing

SURIN: -- A pickup truck driver was killed when his truck was rammed by Ubon-Korat passenger train at a level crossing in Surin province this morning.


The driver’s friend managed to open the door and run out seconds before the train arrived and hit the truck. He was not injured.

US drone strike against Taliban leader angers Pakistan



PAKISTAN -- The apparent death of Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour in a US drone strike has caused a diplomatic row. Pakistan has accused the United States of violating its airspace by targeting Mansour’s vehicle in south-west Pakistan, near the Afghan border.
