GIZ selects Thailand to serve as SEA hub

BANGKOK, 2 June 2016 (NNT) – A German international development organization has selected Thailand to serve as a center for the support of environmentally and socially responsible developments in the Southeast Asian region.

The German Corporation for International Cooperation or GIZ recently held a meeting with its alliances in Asia to assemble and analyze information gathered with the goal to foster sustainable development, eradicate poverty and end inequality. The meeting also discussed how to offset climate change by the year 2030.

GIZ Southeast Asia head Petra Mutlu stated during the meeting that Thailand is a prime country to serve as a base for the researching of sustainable development. She noted that country’s central position in the region and stated it should serve as the GIZ Hub, housing its testing facilities for developments to be applied in Southeast Asia.

GIZ is a service provider, it instructs , advises and works alongside government departments and business, for a fee, the way this reads you would be forgiven into thinking that GIZ was going to invest 100 million usd tomorrow , service providers are also known to supply skilled labour for a fee............................. .

Why? Because Thailand has had such a successful history of achieving these 3 goals? When people think of Thailand, I am sure that the first thing that comes to mind in "responsible".
