Hi.

Anyone know where I can purchase Temgesic (Pain Medication pills) in Pattaya.

Went to 3 local Pharmacies in South Pattaya w/o luck.

If there is one, directions would be helpful coming from Central Festival.

Thanks.

TC.

Not available in Thailand.

Opiates of all sorts are tightly regulated hete and supplied onlt to hospital pharmacies.

The strongest pain killer you can legally get over the counter is tramadol.

Tramadol or Codeine are at many pharmacies.

Some near Central.

Tramadol 100 is slow release and will last most of the day.

The OP is looking for something close to Morphine. Maybe off the street but I would not do.

Tramadol is restricted medication and officially only to be prescribed by Government hospitals.

Not even clinics is the NongKhai ruling.

This is not correct; tramadol is not a restricted drug. It is category "D" and can be sold without prescription. However, the pharmacy must have a first grade pharmacist on duty at all times and records must be kept of sales. Many pharmacies do not want to bother with the record keeping and many also do not meet the first requirement.

Clinics would almost never meet the first requirement; never seen one that employed a full fledged pharmacist.
