TEHRAN: -- Iran is seriously considering moving its weekend closer to the Western one.

Tehran would benefit economically by changing its weekend from Thursday and Friday to Friday and Saturday.

Experts say the country loses more than 300 million euros every week by closing on Thursdays.

For the millennium it has been Thursday and Friday..So we now have Sunnies closed on Thursdays and Fridays and the Shiites closed on Sadurdays and Sundays.Not much of a chance that business wil be done a lot between Saudia and Iran now. We finaly see the almighty dollar pushing the religion aside in The Middle East more then it has ever been.Hoo Ray for the Almighty Dollar. .

don't think so as they use the GEORGIAN CALENDAR since forever. That would really confuse them during RAMADAN.

In related news, Iranians are considering putting left shoes on left feet, and right shoes on right feet.
