Bus from Pattaya to Siagon (HCMC) is it possible?

Maybe times I have seen a bus roar by on Pattayaklang with the words Siagon - Pattaya during the early morning hours....just wondering if it is possible to do the journey by bus up North (with proper visa) via Pattaya??

I've seen those buses as well and it caught my attention as well. Don't feel alone or be discouraged by the member thinking her spelling means anything. I don't think even after decades of "talks" there is a relationship with Cambodia and Thailand regarding buses crossing the border. They do have buses in Phnom Penh which go to Saigon without requiring a change. I think to do it from Pattaya/Thailand you would have to change both at the border and again in Phnom Penh. I don' think you can book it in advance, at least not in a reliable fashion aka getting ripped off etc.. Why someone would go through it all I don't know, perhaps afraid of flying. Point of the post being others have also noticed the bus you mention and you aren't out of your mind etc.. Bus adventures are "fun" for about 30 mins then you have another sixteen or so hours of misery. Once you have counted 10,000. rice paddies it gets old.

Was due to fly back from HCMC to Bangkok the day Swampy was invaded.

Got a bus to PP in Cambodia (the next day) with a nights stop over then a bus to Pattaya the following day.

OP are you sure it is Ho Chi Minh city (a.k.a. Saigon) that you want to go to because when you ask " just wondering if it is possible to do the journey by bus up North " - Ho Chi Minh City is decidedly south east of Pattayablink.png

Geez, ask a simple question and Bingo.....just saw another bus today....said Bangkok - Saigon?

FYI....so how can HCMC be anything South of Pattaya?? You might have your map upside down????

The latest Google Earth shows HCMC to be south and east of Pattaya:

Begs the question why would anyone want to get a bus all the way to Ho ChI Min city?

I've done it the other way round a few times but broke my journey in Phnom Penh.

Interestingly the same bus crosses the border between Vietnam and Cambodia, but at the Cambodian/Thai border everyone gets shunted onto Mafia deathtrap minibuses and then given an absurd runaround in Trat and elsewhere. If the Thais can ever break the deadlock of corruption and impose an efficient proper bus from the border to Bangkok, it would be some progress.

Fine line between nourishment and punishment....I like to cross that line from time to time....?

Those are tour buses. Saigon is the name of the tour company. There's no bus service that serves that route but as some have already commented, it can be done via PP and two, separate bus companies and buses.
