jeepholt
Hi guys. I had a dual pacemaker put in about 4 years ago and I've never felt anything so I don't know if it is even working or not? Are you supposed to feel anything when it fires off or discharges? TIA
tonray
Why not just see a doctor and get an ECG (electrocardiogram) to verify if things are working ?
Naam
Are you supposed to feel anything when it fires off or discharges? no you don't. but it is customary that the function of a pacemaker is checked twice a year. the function test will also check remaining battery life. Naam
Why not just see a doctor and get an ECG (electrocardiogram) to verify if things are working ? if the heart frequency is within the set range (usually min60 / max120) the pacemaker is inactive and therefore does not show on an ECG.
