Pomthai
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Ramadan finish on or about July 5th? Isn't that why its called the holy "month"of Ramadan? June 6th till 16th is not even half way there. http://www.when-is.com/ramadan-2016.asp Edited June 16, 2016 by Pomthai

taony
Ramadan just started. Was the banquet held in the evening or did the guests of honor all have to stand and watch the "PM" feed his face? Edited June 16, 2016 by taony
Pomthai
My guess is the article was written by a time traveler or perhaps more evidence that a lot of news is contrived rubbish written before an event even takes place.

laocowboy2
Lousy reporting. The dinner was probably an Iftar which is the meal at the end of the day at which Muslims break their daily fast during Ramadan.

BSJ
Is the prime minister Muslim? He talks like he is Indeed strange for a supposedly Buddhist PM in a country where 95% or more of the population are Buddhist!
phoenixdoglover
Just another fine piece by NNT. If an apocalypse wiped out Thailand except for one NNT writer, on the following day he would issue the following news report: "Tourism Expected to Rise by Year End".
