I have been renewing my non-imm o visa every year as my son as dependant, this year I want to change to retirement extension

Is this possible on the same non-o visa i have had for many years? This will be from Jomtien immigration

How long must my 800k be seasoned in bank?

how far in advance can i renew it?

What paperwork must i show?

Thanks and any other tips would be most welcome

I will wait for the experts to comment on this O(h) story.

Logic on my part is missing.

Last year I changed my extension from based on marriage to retirement with no hassle, all you need is the 800,00 or income verification from your Embassy, maybe proof of residence.

One other thing, when you switch, it becomes valid the day that you changed it, As my extension based on Marriage was suppose to expire December 12, 2015, but I did the change to retirement on November 12, 2015 and it's up for renewal on November 11th, 2016, so I lost a month.

I do not see why you lost a month.

You should not have done

immigration did not do the change correctly. The canceled the existing extension with no valid reason and started the new one on that date.

The new extension should of started from the date the current one ended.

so is it 2 or 3 months for the money in the bank?

Its my first retirement extension

60 days. But as this is not your first extension they will almost certainly want the money in your account for 3 months.

The first extension is one for a a 90 day non-o visa entry and for that it is 60 days. Since you will be extending a existing extension it will be 3 months.

I think they did that because they cancelled my Thai wife and changed it to retirement.Visa07022016.pdf

They would normally only do it that way when someone divorces.
