My baby was born in Thailand three months ago. We do not have an embassy or consulate in the country. We are planning to travel and use the opportunity to get him his passport as well. Does anyone know whether he can be allowed to travel without passport? Can someone tell me whether the Thai Immigration issues documents for children in his case to allow them to travel out of Thailand?

Thai immigration does not issue such document.

Your child is not allowed to travel outside Thailand without a valid international travel document.

As you have chosen not to reveal your nationality, nobody will be able to give you specific information for your case. Ask your country's ministry of foreign affairs for advice, or your country's consulate in charge of assisting nationals of your country in Thailand..

Nonsense, not a Thai citizen at all. American rules don't count in Thailand they have their own rules.

Immigration would not issue such a document. The ministry of foreign affairs could issue a "EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE" that would allow them to travel to your home country.

Great news. Glad it worked out for you. Have a good trip.

You can only register a child as a U.S. citizen if one parent is a U.S. citizen.

That should be obvious, but it should be made clear to a couple.

And it may require the couple to be married, domestic partnerships are often not accepted by many countries.
