I heard about it too, the new 3 year visa and dropping of the 90 day reporting requirement (which doesn't seem to be enforced anyway).

It was written up in one of the expat periodicals here in Phuket. I'll get more specifics tomorrow.

Interesting stipulations are: this visa does not allow employment in Thailand (i.e. it's for visiting businessmen only), this visa cannot be issued by an honorary consulate and obtaining one will require a raft of paperwork.

Yes I think so to, but you never know whith the Thai. They are unpredictable.
