Inflation for June ups 0.38 percent

BANGKOK: Consumer’s price index or inflation for the month of June was registered at 107.05 points, representing an increase of 0.38 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Office of Trade Policy and Strategy.

Inflation for the month of June upped 0.03 percent from the rate in May, representing a steady rise for three months in a row. However, inflation rate for the first six months of the year remains 0.09 percent lower than the rate of the same period last year.

The increase in inflation rate was attributable to a rise in the consumer’s index of food and beverages by 2.8 percent whereas the index on non-food category has dropped 0.94 percent.

One thing for sure, inflation is much higher than the

rates you are going to get at the Banks,so slowly

your savings are evaporating .maybe better to be

in debt,they seem to receive all the help.
