My Thai wife just came back from Pratat Panom in Nakorn Panom Prov and said there was a big sign in Thai, but not English, inside the temple, saying NO photography for both foreigners and Thai nationals, although outside was okay.

I can't confirm this as I didn't go, but would like to know if anyone has seen a similar sign anywhere in Thailand. I certainly hope this isn't a trend as tourism is the lifeblood of this country and photography is a major part of tourism. Maybe the powers that be are tired of all the selfies being taken!? Sorry she didn't take a photo of the sign, tho there weren't any soldiers on guard or any special security.

Its disrespectful taking photographs inside a place of worship without permission anyway...further you talk about toursim, these place are not there for tourists

You wife didnt take a photo of a sign that says no photos. No need to be sorry, nice to know some people take notice of what the notice was noticing.

I was in a Dr's office yesterday and he had a sign on the wall, no phones, no pictures, no videos!

Have also seen them in shopping malls and supermarkets

Once I was in big C and there was a cockroach walking in the cooked ham and sausages under the glass and I was taking a picture of it and the staff told me you are not allowed to do that!
