Featured Replies

Hi, can someone link me to some good threds where some different visaruns are explained? i need a step by step guide on how to get new visas and do visaruns, as im a bit confused on what to do

thanks

1) What type of entry do you have now /

2) What is your status ? Working ? tourist ? Husband ? retired ?

3) What do you want to do ?

You could look here in this pinned topic for some info: Latest Reports Of Getting A Visa In The Region

It would help to know what type of visa your are expecting to get.

and 4) Where are you in Thailand ?

3) What do you want to do ?

Maybe you can help me (I'm a noob).

I have come Thailand without a visa and now wish to get a tourist visa from a bordering country.

I'm not working and I'm just travelling.

What is the best country to obtain it from?would prefer Cambodia but would go elsewhere if there would be any problems.

How much do the agents charge?how long does it take?and is it a case of giving them your passport and they do the rest?

You don't need an agent, a waste of money for a tourist visa. If you want some hand holding for your first trip then just sign up with one of the Visa Van services. 2 that I have used and can recommend are http://www.thaivisaservice.com/ and http://bangkokbuddy.com/.

If you want a Thai tourist-visa in Cambodia, you DO want to use an agent - especially if you want it quickly.

If going to Laos, an agent is of little / any help at all.

In Penang, it can be helpful to use an Agent, depending on circumstances and if you want to save the trouble of going to the consulate.
