PHUKET: A small amount of water that continually runs onto the road at the Darasamuth Intersection is said to be rain water that comes from a drainage hole made to clear excess rain water that sits on the roof of the Darasamut Underpass following heavy rain chief of the Highways Department has confirmed.

The new chief of the Phuket Highways Department Prinya Haijai told The Phuket News today that underpass constructors Italian-Thai Development Corporation Limited (ITD) have been told about the problem on a number of occasions following complaints made by local motorists.

“I have informed Italian-Thai Development Corporation Limited (ITD) a few time about this problem following complaints,” he said.
