SATTAHIP:-- A Sattahip gas station has agreed to repair 14 diesel-powered vehicles that broke down after filling up with fuel mixed with water.

Heavy rain and a leaky drainage system were blamed for allowing storm runoff to enter an underground diesel fuel tank at the PTT station at Kasempol Junction in Sattahip June 21.

The issue first came to light on Facebook, where a disgruntled motorist posted photos of 10 vehicles disabled near the station. By the time the media arrived, there were 14 cars and pickup trucks idled and orange cones blocking off the tank to prevent more disaster.

How often are the tanks checked for water....? It is a simple maneuver to check a tank for water. The water level would have been fairly high since the fuel does not feed from the bottom. Well this is LOS

when I lived in Maine, a long time ago, we used to put a half pint of alcohol, denatured so don't drink it, in every other tank of gas. This would dilute any water which would freeze in winter. Might help here just to get it burnable and it could then go through the system.
