Multiple non O visa do I need re entry permit ?

Featured Replies

Hi all

It's my first time traveling out of Thailand on a 12 month multiple Non O visa

I going to Singapore for a few days the question I have is do I need to get a re entry permit?

Yeah I know it's probably a dumb question but as its my first time exiting Thailand and then re entering on this visa which I have never had before I just want to make sure!

Or do thy just stamp me out and then stamp me back in to the country when I arrive back

Thank all in advance for any help or insite you can give me!

No need for a re entry permit, you can come and go as many times as you need on a multiple non O visa, just leave and when you come back they will atomically give you another 90days.

Just as Nev said, but watch the "Enter Before" date on the Non-O Visa sticker, if you enter on that date or before you will get another 90 days.

No problem,

my ME NON-O visa runs out on Wednesday (Enter Before date) but I entered Thailand again on 8th July so I got another 90 days which will take me to 5th October.

Just another heads up:

Don't forget to write the visa no. on the "departure card" before you hand it over to the officer on entry.

Open the passport with the visa page to see.

Check the stamp after passing.

To err is human.

Every other time there is a thread here about wrong stamp.

-----------------------------

Multi entry Non O visas are normally issued for one year, meaning they have an expiration date one year after they are issued.

Within that year you may exit and enter as many times as you like.

Each entry gets you a 90 day stay permission stamp.

So even if you have only one day left in that visa before it expires, when you re-enter with just one day left on your visa you still get a 90 day stay permission stamp.

That way you multi Non O visa that is given for good for one year can actually be used for almost 15 months legally.

However once you get an extension of that one year visa at immigration....such as an extension for marriage to a Thai wife or an extension for retirement in Thailand....that extension extends your visa for one year.

At that point your extension for one year requires you go get an exit re-entry permit to leave Thailand and return.

Just be careful, as the one year multi entry visa is good for one year and you can enter without a exit re-entry permit.

But once that visa expires you can extend it for marriage or retirement (if you meet the requirements) and the extension of the expired visa DOES need a exit re-entry permit,

A multi entry one year visa and an extension of that visa for another year based on marriage or retirement are different things with different requirements and different methods for being handled.

  • You can re-enter as often as you want until on or before the 'enter before' date printed on your visa.

No need for re-entry permits as you have a valid visa.

If you want to maximise your stay using this visa you should do a final entry on or close to the 'enter before date for a final 90 days stay.
