Multi Entry Tourist Visa..

Featured Replies

My more recent tourist visa was an extension for 1 month

I received in Mae Hong Son for 1900 b

It ends upon Sunday July 17th.

When I received my Multi Entry Visa in New ealand

upon my united slaves passport

the stamp say I must use it by August 11 2016.

Am I correct in understanding,

I need to go to Mae Sai

cross the border and back on this Friday which is the 15th of July.

That I will get 60 more days

and my visa then will be completed?

Further questions..

Can I go to anywhere closer to do this visa run?

If I left the country after the 60 days are up,

how soon can I return to Thailand ?

Be it on another multi entry tourist visa?

Can I still only get that in my country of residency?

(I ask as I know things change)

Do I have to be in that country

or can I apply for it whilst I am in, for example, Nepal

but through New ealand (as I am a permanent resident f New ealand )

Thai Embassy for my united slaves passport?

Can I stay on in Thailand on another type of visa

or do I need to leave the country then come back in to Thailand?

What are the options for getting a new visa?

Retirement visa which is too costly for me at this point.

Teaching English work visa/

What are the other options please.

Thank you in advance

You need to leave and re-enter the country on or before the July17th if that is the date on the 30 day extension stamp you got at immigration.

You could also do a another entry on or before August 11th and get another 60 day entry that could be extended for 30 days.

If you are in Mae Hong Son the crossing at Mae Sai is nearest one to you.

Once you have used your visa to it's full extent you do not have be out any longer that it takes to get another visa.

You can only get a multiple entry tourist visa in your home country or country of legal residence (there may be exceptions but none nearby).

I doubt the embassy or consulate in New Zealand would allow you to apply for a visa without you being physically present in NZ.

If you were to qualify for some type of extension of stay would be the only way you could get a non immigrant visa at immigration during the last 15 days of your existing entry you have at the time.

  • No. If your 'enter before' date on the visa is August 11th you can enter anytime on or before that date for another 60 day permit to stay.
  • Your exit/re-entry, on or before July 17th, can be done at any international border.
  • If you are looking to maximise the time from this visa you should do another border hop on or before August 11th for a final 60 day stay.
  • You do not need to stay outside Thailand any amount of time.
  • You will need to get your next visa from a Thai Embassy/Consulate outside of Thailand.
  • If you get a job as a teacher you could get a non immigrant "B' visa with paperwork from the school.
  • You can get Single Entry Tourist Visas (SETV) from many Embassies/Consulates local to Thailand.
