July 18, 20169 yr After months of heartache searching for a builder for house build, I was lucky enough to find a very good, honest thai builder. Not many around, he deserves to do well.... Works in the pattaya, jontiem, bang saray, Sattahip aera.... Etc. My house and pool are available for viewing should anybody want to see the quality of his work. Other testimonials from satisfied customers available...
July 18, 20169 yr Glad to hear you found an honest Builder. How much did it cost ? Cost per sq meter?
July 18, 20169 yr My builder was very competent, quality work and very good price. Wife's family (first cousin) so had to do good.
July 18, 20169 yr A builder? You must mean that middle man with the Chrysler Jeep, who doesn't make his hands dirty, but only adds 30-50% commission for bringing in a constructor. Been there, got the T-shirt Edited July 18, 20169 yr by Berty100
July 18, 20169 yr Author Glad to hear you found an honest Builder. How much did it cost ? Cost per sq meter? give me pm mate, I will discuss in detail the costs with you. Generally for a good standard about 15000..but there's so many variables to discuss it all here.
July 18, 20169 yr Author A builder? You must mean that middle man with the Chrysler Jeep, who doesn't make his hands dirty, but only adds 30-50% commission for bringing in a constructor. Been there, got the T-shirt Most (if not all?) builders bring in specialist contractors for parts of the building process and of course look to make a commission on the work. (that's how it works in thailand, If not all building trades around the world?) 30 to 50% your exaggerating more than a touch my friend. If you have all the contacts and knowledge to do it all yourself? Your a very lucky man and you don't need a builder...... I got many quotes from from builders far and wide. He wasn't the cheapest, but near enough... But had no problem with me buying my own materials, employing my own contractors for parts of the build. No problems with correcting problems, no falling out over extra work... Like I said a decent bloke not just a good builder (who does get his hands dirty I can assure you....)
July 18, 20169 yr pm me if you need the number of a really good builder with 30 years around pattaya. The mark of a good builder is completion to good standard, not dirty hands. Engineers degree has more value than skill at mixing cement or having brother in law who needs work. Full compliment of machines and equipment owned by the company [not an old pick up]but realistic prices and many local projects to view. Sounds too good to be true i know. I will freely pass on the number if you want to call a pro...and he is a nice guy who speaks English

Would come in very handy for a lot of folk.
July 19, 20169 yr May be a bit premature to reach a conclusion? Wait six months and see if there's any subsidence with cracking walls (not just plaster), doors and windows no longer closing properly, and ceiling plasterboard coming away from the walls. (I once was happy with a builder, too.)
