Hi,

I sent my passport to Thai Embassy London for a visa last Tuesday special recorded delivery. still not got it back. Can't get through on the phone. I am supposed to fly on Wednesday.

Anyone else having problems?

This week has been a week of Thai public holidays, did you check the Embassy website before you sent your passport? Sorry to say Tues and Weds are public holidays here in Thailand.

Today, tomorrow and Wednesday are Thai holidays, observed by nearly all Thai Embassies and Consulates.

I guess you better re-book for next week after you receive your passport.

I've not looked on the London Embassy site for a while but I'm pretty certain they say to allow 10 working days. The turn around is much quicker normally but you was cutting it fine!

Maybe you are lucky and they posted your passport back last week or today. The embassy will be closed tomorrow and on Wednesday.

thanks guys... managed after a long time to get through to them and they say it's been posted and hopefully with me before 1pm. Think they are closed tomorrow and Wednesday...
